Mitch Williams
Mitch Williams was drafted out of high school by the Sand Diego Padres in 1982. He would join the Texas Rangers before making his MLB debut in 1986 beginning his 11 season major league career. Williams’ uniquely forceful delivery paired with his control issues drew comparisons to Major League character Ricky Vaughn gaining him the nickname “Wild Thing.” Williams was selected to the 1989 All-Star team and played in the 1993 World Series with the Phillies before beginning a broadcasting career.
