Bill Walton

Bill Walton was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the first overall pick of the 1974 NBA draft following an outstanding career at UCLA under legendary head coach John Wooden where he was 3x national college player of the year and a 2x NCAA national champion. As a professional, Walton was the 1977 Finals MVP, 1978 NBA MVP, the 1986 Sixth Man of the Year and a 2x NBA Champion. His number 32 has been retired by both UCLA and Portland and he is a member of both the College Basketball and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
