Artis Gilmore, nicknamed "The A-Train," was drafted by the Kentucky Colonels out of UCLA, where he still holds the Division I rebounds per game record, in the 1971 ABA Draft. Gilmore's accolades include 1972 ABA Rookie of the Year and MVP, 1975 ABA Champion and Playoffs MVP, 5x ABA All-Star, 6x NBA All-Star and more, culminating in his 2011 induction to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
